Customer Support Specialist

The role of the Customer Support Specialist is to provide excellent service to our customers. In addition, it will aim to reduce the administrative burden on Product Specialists in order to maximize their efficiency.
The candidate will report directly to the Product Group Manager and will work closely with our Product Specialists.
He/she will follow procedures and work instructions and represent Davis by providing reliable and quality service to our customers.

Location

Oakville Office - This is a full-time salaried position based in Oakville, at the QEW and Winston.

Qualifications

Experience in a similar customer service role is a plus.
Computer skills (comfortable with web enabled software), good typing skills and excellent phone manners are required as we rely heavily upon our web enabled, single data base software system. All call details are entered into our CRM, along with quotes, e-mails, internal correspondence etc., linked back to the customer account.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong desire to serve customers.
Experience with MS Office suite (Especially office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Results-oriented and able to manage a variable workload.
Good ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
Excellent organizational and teamwork skills.

Duties

Follow up on proposals & Opportunities.
Assist with RMA communications by liaising with our sales team, customers, and partners.
Support Webstore enquires
Respond to customer order reminders
Follow up with suppliers
Assist with documentation on projects
Assist the marketing team with content for social media initiatives
The successful candidate will be provided with detailed training on the procedures and work instructions.

Technical Account Manager

Qualifications

The candidate of choice should have 3-5 years outside sales experience in the industry. and have an Engineering or College degree and technical background (academic + experience) with Process Automation and Industrial Instrumentation.

Duties

The successful candidate will be provided with detailed training on all of the product lines we represent and visits to customers’ manufacturing and production plants will provide first-hand experience and exposure to actual industrial applications.

As a specialist in Process Control and Industrial Instrumentation, you will provide technical support and customer service to clients in the Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Plastics, Printing, Transportation and Health Care Industries as well as to any other industries that might be represented in your assigned territory.

Candidates are expected to have experience with CRM and office software such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint and know how to find information on the Internet. Applicants are expected to have superior communication skills (written and oral).

This is a full-time salaried position based in Ontario.
