INSTALLATION, CALIBRATION, and REPAIR

In 1933, more than ninety years ago, Mr. C.R. Davis founded a self-employed service company performing boiler service and repair in downtown Toronto, moving from one call to the next on his bicycle.

Over time, the service arm of Davis Automatic Controls was renamed Automatic Watchdog Controls, with both the sales and the service companies sharing the distinctive Great Dane logo, which by itself reflects the attributes of Davis Controls; friendly, strong and dependable.

From our roots in boiler service and repair, our expanded capabilities now include in-house instrumentation and control repair and calibration, onsite maintenance, service and calibration, BTU system installation, commissioning and annual calibration, instrument audits, Nitrogen Generator maintenance, equipment lubrication audits, flow system verification and VFD commissioning and repair.

Our Service and Repair Department is expertly staffed and suitably equipped to provide fast and reliable repair and calibration service for the complete range of Instrument and Control products. We offer repair and calibration service for Danfoss VFDs, Flowline Liquid Level switches and transmitters, as well as all of the Level, Pressure and Flow products we sell.

As a full-service provider, we offer complete after-sales service for our complete line of Process Instrumentation, Factory Automation, Wireless and Environmental Controls, including;

Onsite Calibration with programs registered to ISO 9001 & 14001
Service for installation, troubleshooting & repair
Preventive, demand and shutdown maintenance; upgrades & retrofits and start-up & commissioning services for products we represent
Instrument Repair is provided in our repair shop which is fully equipped for Component Level Repair, Re-manufacturing and Diagnostic Service

Instrument Calibration Services

Our instrumentation services offer a Flowmeter Verification/Calibration Loop, located at our Head Office in Oakville, Ontario. Our service department can customize a calibration program that caters to your equipment’s needs!

Send us your ultrasonic, turbine, magnetic, vortex, variable area, thermal mass, positive displacement, paddle wheel and clamp-on flowmeters from any manufacturer and our service team will ensure they are operating within factory-specified tolerance, ensuring your process is optimized. Once calibrated, your flowmeter will be accompanied by a report detailing its performance results from the test performed.
