Portable Ice Point™ Calibration Reference Chamber with built-in Temperature Readout
The new Ice Point™ reference chamber TRCII-A is the latest to OMEGA’s fine line of calibration reference instrumentation. The chamber relies on the equilibrium of ice and distilled, deionized water at atmospheric pressure to maintain six reference wells at precisely 0°C. Each well extends into a sealed cylindrical chamber containing the distilled deionized water. The outer walls of the chamber are cooled by thermoelectric cooling elements. The increase in volume produced by the creation of ice crystals within the cell is sensed by the expansion of bellows, which operates a micro switch and controls the cooling elements. The alternate freezing and thawing of the ice accurately maintains a 0°C environment around the reference wells. The TRCII-A has a built-in temperature readout [°C/°F] with 0.1° resolution. The unit comes with a NIST-traceable calibration certificate.
Whether for onsite use in the workshop, in the measuring and test room or laboratory, SIKA temperature calibrators can be used everywhere. A wide range of industries and various application areas are covered.
With the temperature calibrators of the TP Solid series, the main focus is on flexibility: In addition to dry block calibrators, they also include calibration baths, with which almost any temperature sensor can be calibrated irrespective of its shape. Both can be operated easily and intuitively. When being used as a fluid bath calibrator, the temperature sensors are directly immersed in the calibration liquid. This created a direct temperature link between the calibrator and the devices under test without an insulating air gap. All TP Solid temperature calibrators are additionally equipped with a serial interface for computer-assisted monitoring of the calibration process. This flexibility in combination with the easy operation makes the TP Solid series ideal for use in machinery and plant engineering.
Sika TP 18 200 E & TP 18 200 E-115 V Models
The Sika TP 18 200 E is a bit different from other calibrators in the Sika TP series – the model is more compact, ideal for benchtop use, and gives the user easier access to the temperature block. A dry block calibrator, the TP 18 200 E is designed for heating up without the use of external calibration liquid (as used in other calibrators with micro baths). In practice, this allows faster heating without the need to insert liquid, allowing the technical to work more efficiently. Blocks are quite narrow with a diameter of 18 mm and a depth of 100 mm. Adaptor sleeves are available to cater to other temperature sensors which may not fit directly into the block (sold separately – please call for information). An integrated dual-line, the 4-digit display shows temperature information at all times between a range of 0 to 200°C with a resolution of ±1°C. Measurements are accurate to within ±1°C with a stability of 0.1°C.
The dry block function was developed to enable easy calibration of the temperature in lab and field applications. The optimum thermal coupling from block to DUT is achieved by the correction calibration insert. Ideally, the inner diameter of the borehole in the calibration insert is 0.5 mm larger than the outer diameter of the DUT. With the help of the calibration insert, almost all straight temperature sensors with different lengths and diameters can be calibrated. The dry block covers the entire temperature range without changing the calibration medium. The user does not have to take viscosities, flash points or outgassing into consideration.

The AQM-103 is designed to measure CO concentration and air temperature with visible and audible alarms. This CO monitor is an ideal instrument for indoor air quality (IAQ) diagnosis and HVAC system performance verification. CO is a common byproduct of the combustion of fossil fuels. It is a colourless, odourless and tasteless gas. Due to the fact, it is very hard to detect the presence of CO in your environment. It is, however, imperative that the CO levels are carefully monitored. Even at relatively low levels, CO is poisonous because it rapidly accumulates in the blood thereby depleting its ability to carry oxygen. Extreme cases of CO poisoning result in death.
